MRI + GPT = Mind Reading

Decoding Thoughts with GPT AI 🧠💭

Researchers have found a way to passively read thoughts using GPT AI. This major breakthrough will have transformative impacts on healthcare and privacy.

Bypassing Neurosurgery with MRI 🏥

This advancement is particularly significant because, unlike current language decoders, it doesn't require neurosurgery transplants. Instead, it uses MRI technology to "listen" to thoughts.

But how does this work? First, the participant spends several hours listening to basic, low-level items such as children's tales while inside an MRI. The MRI data is then fed to an AI. The AI begins to form a preliminary understanding of how the participant visualizes the stories in their mind.

Subsequently, the AI is capable of reversing this process. Before, text was used to drive brain waves; now, by analyzing the brain waves, the AI can produce corresponding text. The precision of this technology is quite remarkable for its early stage:

Participant: "I don't have my driver's license yet"

⬇️ ⬇️ ⬇️

GPT: "She has not even started to learn to drive yet"

Astonishing! This innovation could provide a crucial communication bridge for individuals suffering from brain injuries or ALS, enabling them to express their thoughts without the need for speech or physical movement.

Can You Control Your Private Thoughts? 🤔💭

As with any groundbreaking tech, questions about privacy are inevitable. Can you control which thoughts you are thinking about? How liable are you for a thought? What about that embarrassing thing you did back in high school?

When fully developed, this technology could potentially be misused for espionage. This allows unauthorized individuals to "hear" others' thoughts.

Spotify - AI Music = Double Standard

Spotlight on Heart on My Sleeve 🎵🤖

"Heart on My Sleeve," features the voices of Drake and The Weeknd. It attracted over 11 million listens in just a week!

Here’s the twist: Drake and The Weeknd weren’t the ones singing…. AI was.

“Heart on My Sleeve” was assembled by artist Ghostwriter and utilized AI voice replication to add in Drake and The Weeknd’s vocals. However, Drake and the Weeknd didn’t work with Ghostwriter which highlights the potential danger of AI in music.

Youtube is also protecting artists🛡️ This is my 6th time updating the URL 🤯

Spotify Protects Artists' Royalties 🎧💰

In response, Spotify has removed tens of thousands of AI-generated songs to ensure royalty payouts for “human“ artists. This act reflects the tension between AI artists and human creators.

Boomy, an AI music generator, is the prime focus of Spotify's recent crackdown. It was introduced to the public in 2021. Boomy has already generated an astounding 14 million songs, which makes up 14% of the world's recorded music!

Unfortunately, most of those songs are not very good and only around 0.1% of them won’t hurt you like, kinda like day-old Folgers 😅

Embracing AI for Recommendations, Shunning AI in Music Creation 🎧🤔

Spotify, known for its AI-driven recommendation system, is now *ironically* leading the charge against AI-generated music. This raises questions about the company's stance on the role of AI.

“(Removal of AI-generated music) This allows us to protect royalty payouts for honest, hardworking artists.”

Spotify

I understand the copyright issues, but making AI-generated music is by no means “easy”. I mean just look at how hard Travis Scott is working 🤣

Endless Jokes ♾️

If you are like me, and can’t get enough of Kevin Harts’ jokes, you can actually make more yourself. Here’s the prompt:

Write a joke about < type of joke > in < comedian’s > tone

Here’s what happens when I asked for a knock-knock joke in Kevin’s tone:

New Challenge: Try to not read it in Kevin’s voice 🤣

With the prompt, you can change the type of jokes or even the comedian. Check out another knock-knock joke, but, by Jo Koy:

Of course his mom was in the joke 😁

To Go Cup 🥤

  • GPT is advancing remarkably in the healthcare field, nearly achieving “mind reading” using MRI scans 🗣️

  • Spotify is intensifying its efforts against AI-generated music, motivated not just by copyright concerns, but also to safeguard the royalties of human artists 🛡️
