⏸️ OpenAI Puts 'Browsing' on a Break!

OpenAI has paused the 'Browse' beta feature for ChatGPT Plus users. The decision was influenced by its recently discovered ability to bypass website paywalls (I hope I knew that sooner 😅).

The action has been seen as a precautionary step, because it may damage content ownership and regulations.

Don’t panic yet! While GPT browsing is paused, alternatives like Perplexity Copilot, Microsoft Bing, and Google Bard are available to users.

I know disabling 'Browse' causes lots of inconvenience, just know that this is a beta feature. OpenAI has indicated it is temporary. Swift action and transparent communication from OpenAI are reassuring signs. Just check out their tweets!

💡 OpenAI Aims High with Superintelligence

It seems like the people who created AI are now afraid of AI.

Most recently, OpenAI released an article titled “Introducing Superalignment“. The goal is to build an “AI Avengers” to align AI ability with human intent.

What exactly is superalignment? In simpler words — to control AI.

But, let's not gloss over the elephant in the room: the risks. Misaligned superintelligence could spell disaster. This means human disempowerment to the nightmarish possibility of extinction.

On the bright side, OpenAI is tackling it head-on by dedicating 20% of its resources to this challenge over the next four years. The team is, also, led by AI gurus Ilya Sutskever and Jan Leike

OpenAI has made its position clear: AI safety first. It has strapped on its superhero cape, ready to face the superintelligent behemoth!

🤖 GPT Levels Up with Code Interpreter

All ChatGPT Plus users are in for a treat! OpenAI just released a super-upgrade - Code Interpreter.

What is it? “To code, without knowing how to code.”

Simply ask it questions, and it dives into your data, dissecting it like a pro surgeon. Need to analyze a massive dataset? No problem! It'll handle thousands of rows without breaking a sweat!

Here is an example where I analyzed all of Starbucks’ beverages. I ranked them based on the highest caffeine to calories ratio. All without writing a line of code!

To activate Code Interpreter, just visit the settings, toggle the plug-in switch, and start your data adventure.

One more thing: if you have sensitive data, protect yourself by disabling chat history and model training, like shown here.
